Tammy Ahumada - Director. Tammy Ahumada has been a volunteer lookout since 2004 and she watches for smoke from Delilah, Park Ridge and Buck Rock whenever she can escape. She and her husband Raymond have raised two boys and taught them the joys of camping, hiking and backpacking throughout the visual areas of all three lookouts. She is a part time bookkeeper and brings that experience into the Foundation by helping with our bookkeeping. She can't think of a better way to spend her free time than to hang out at the tree tops with a set of binoculars wrapped around her neck.
Neil Metcalf - Director. Neil worked for the U. S. Forest Service for 37 years in many capacities; his last position was as the Fire Management Officer at the Hume Lake Ranger District on the Sequoia National Forest. Neil looks to continue that relationship by serving on the board.

After 2 seasons full time at Delilah, she joined the volunteer ranks of the Buck Rock Foundation. Since 2003, she has been the Volunteer Lookout Coordinator for the Foundation, while volunteering at Buck Rock, Delilah and Park Ridge Lookouts. Besides the Foundation, Wendy continues to work as a Substitute Teacher and is on the Board of Directors of the Oak to Timberline Fire Safe Council.
Brent and Marsha Iden - Co-Directors.
Brent Iden has been the Director of Music at Springville Union School
District for the last 26 years. In this position he has directed the
Instrumental, Vocal, and Musical Theater programs as well as teaching
general music and theory classes. Brent is an active Amateur Radio
operator with activity on Satellite and HF. He is also an amateur
photographer with photos being printed in the Buck Rock newsletter as well
as the FFLA publication. Brent worked as a firefighter with CDF, now
called CalFire, while going to college. During that time he was stationed
at Fountain Springs, and Pine Mountain. Pine Mountain was by far the more
pleasant of the two. He has always had a fondness with fire lookouts,
probably instilled during trips into the backcountry and visiting Mitchell
Peak Lookout when it was being staffed and later after it was retired.
"Working with the foundation and volunteering in the lookouts has been a
dream come true."
Marsha Cowing Iden recently retired from County of Tulare where she worked as a CalWin Specialist. (Accountant) for over 17 years. She enjoys crocheting, reading and travel especially in the state of Alaska. She also enjoys taking photographs of nature.
Being a member of the foundation is such an honor for her. She loves meeting people from around the world at the bottom of Buckrock and sharing the lookout and our forest and park with them.
She leaves most of the lookout duties to her husband Brent during the summer week days as she stays home with their cats.
